The Samaveda's content is roughly 85% drawn from the Rigveda, rearranged for liturgical chanting in the Soma sacrifice — for Sanskrit alongside, see the corresponding Rigveda verses (linked in scholarly editions). Griffith follows Benfey's text and Pandit Satyavrata Sāmaśrami's edition of the Rāṇāyaṇīya recension.
