    Poking Fun at Gods
We often hear about enterprising morons (if there is such a thing) who think putting Hindu Gods and Goddesses on items like slippers and bikinis to make money is “cool.” But it is not Hinduism alone that is targeted. A recent article in Lawrence (Kansas) Journal-World highlights merchants who are equal opportunity exploiters – poking fun at “icons and symbols of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism.” If you thought pictures of Siva on a lunch-box is bad, then meet Nunzilla “a windup, plastic nun in full habit -- complete with a crucifix around her neck and a ruler in hand.” Or the “Jesus Action Figure ("with posable arms and gliding action"), a mini, plastic Jesus Christ in biblically correct clothing -- and little wheels under his feet.”
